Scans a Visual SourceSafe database for integrity, displays information and errors in a results window, and optionally fixes any errors. You can use the utility from the command line or as part of a script for unattended operation. 1. Locate the ANALYZE Utility application: In windows 7 it is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual SourceSafe> 2. Open DOS command prompt Change directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual SourceSafe Locate the VSS Data directory on VSS server. In my network it is at P:\VSS\data 3.
