On July 14th 2010 the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI erected a new Exarchate for the Malankara Catholics in North America. Rev Fr Thomas Naickamparambil of the Major Archieparchy of Trivandrum is appointed the first Bishop of the new Exarchate. The Bishop is also appointed as The Apostolic Visitator of the Malankara Catholics in Europe and Canada by the Holy Father. He was consecrated as a Bishop with the name Thomas Mar Eusebius on September 21, 2010.
